Chief Judicial Magistrate
Mr. A.N.M. Ilias was born on 22/12/1983 in a respectable Muslim family in Kalairpar village under Fulbaria Upazila of Mymensingh district. He passed his S.S.C. examination from Achim Bahumukhi High School in 1998 and his H.S.C. examination from Shahabuddin Degree College in 2000 with distinction. He obtained L.L.B (Hons.) from Islamic University, Kushtia and L.L.M. degree from the same university in 2009.
After the separation of the judiciary, he joined Netrokona district as a Judicial Magistrate through the third BJS (Bangladesh Judicial Service) on 22/05/2008. He joined Sylhet district as Chief Judicial Magistrate on 18 September 2024. Earlier, he was working as an Additional District and Sessions Judge in Narsingdi District. He has also served as a Senior Judicial Magistrate, Senior Assistant Judge, Joint District and Sessions Judge. He has traveled to Australia, India, Nepal, Bhutan and Singapore.
He has also successfully completed various training courses in the country and abroad, including a 4 (four) week training from Western Sydney University, Australia. His special articles on law have been published in various journals.
